Installing the .XMP files (presets) is straightforward. Simply download the ZIP archive and save it in a location that's easily accessible.

Quick install: 
 
Download ZIP archive and unzip it. 
Copy the entire folder "Black Tones Presets Camera Raw & Lightroom by Kathrin Federer" to the following location: Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Preferences or Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings
Restart Photoshop CC
In Photoshop, go to Filters > Camera Raw

Do NOT extract the downloaded ZIP archive.
Open Adobe Photoshop: Launch Photoshop and open an image you wish to apply the preset to.
Open Camera Raw: Go to Filter > Camera Raw Filter to open the Camera Raw window.
Open Presets Panel: On the right side of the Camera Raw window, you'll find various icons. Click on the Preset icon (it looks like two stacked sliders).
Import Preset: At the top right of the Preset section, click the small three-dot menu and select Import Profiles. Navigate to the downloaded ZIP folder and click Open.
Apply Preset: After importing, the Presets folder should appear in the list. Click on a preset within the folder to apply it to your image.
 
Lightroom CC Guide:
 
Extract the downloaded ZIP archive.
Open Lightroom: Launch Lightroom and select a photo you want to apply the preset to.
Open Presets Panel: On the right side, you'll find various icons. Click on the Preset icon (it looks like two stacked sliders).
Import Preset: At the top right of the Preset section, click the small three-dot menu and select Import Presets. Navigate to the downloaded and extracted presets folder and click `Choose Folder`. This will import all presets collected in a folder, enhancing organization in Lightroom.
Apply Preset: After importing, the Presets folder should appear in the list. Click on a preset within the folder to apply it to your image.
 
The preset will now be applied to your image, adding that extra touch. You maintain full control over the preset's effect.
